Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – StevenageWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within a lovely school in Stevenage. As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning across various curriculum areas within the school. Working closely with teaching staff, you will lead small groups, deliver pre-planned lessons, and provide targeted interventions to support students’ progress and attainment. HLTA responsibilities:

• Lead small group interventions to support students’ learning and development.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons under the guidance of teaching staff, ensuring the effective delivery of curriculum content.
• Provide individualized support to students with additional needs, including SEN and EAL learners, to facilitate their inclusion and progress.
• Assist in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic and personal growth.
• Support the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare and safety of all students at all times.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience working in a similar role within a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of primary curriculum frameworks and teaching strategies.
• Ability to effectively engage and motivate students, fostering a love for learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Adaptability and resilience to respond to the varying needs and challenges of working in a primary school environment.
