Host/Hostess, Off the Common – Hilton Boston Park Plaza

One of the most historic hotels in city, the Hilton Boston Park Plaza is seeking full-time Restaurant Host/Hostess to join their team at Off the Common! This 1060 room property has a premier Back Bay location just steps away from the Boston Common and the Public Garden, as well as a half mile from Beacon Hill and the Theater District! 

The ideal candidate for this position be presentable, professional and hospitable! Our restaurant is in main lobby, and in addition to assisting diners, hotel guests may have questions/need directions and might approach a host with these needs. It would be considered an asset for this role to have previous hosting experience, exposure to the reservation platform Resy or previous hotel experience!

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work both AM and PM shifts as needed any day of the week/weekends/holidays as needed

Pay Rate: $32.28 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, you would be responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
• Seat guests and manage the seating chart
• Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
• Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
• Ensure knowledge of menu
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
