Housekeeper

Find your purpose in a Housekeeper position, keeping our facilities clean and safe for those we serve and those who serve them. All while kickstarting a great career in healthcare working with a caring team of coworkers in our Rice Memorial EVS department. Our team consists of around 30 amazing employees and a dedicated manager that works tirelessly to create a positive working environment where everyone can enjoy their work life. The Housekeeping crew is comprised of many veterans and a few new additions. If you are a hard-working, dependable type, then you will definitely appreciate the dedication level of this team around you.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in an assigned area as specified by a work schedule. This will be accomplished by utilization of a seven-step cleaning procedure. Housekeepers have daily direct contact with patients, and must have a good diplomacy with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

Schedule:

• Part Time jobs-near-me.org 56 hours every two weeks
• Rotating Day shifts (7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) Monday – Friday jobs-near-me.org Every other Weekend & Holiday rotation

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay begins at $16.95 per hour and increases with experience
  • Pay range: $16.95 – $22.42 per hour

• This is a Union position, and you will be required to join the AFSCME 3296 Union within 30 days from start.

Qualifications:

• High school preferred; must be able to read and write English.
• Must have basic math knowledge and be able to follow instructions.
• Knowledgeable about housekeeping procedures/techniques.
• Will be trained on the job.
• Previous experience helpful but not required.
