Responsibilities

1. Dusts, mops, and vacuums floors utilizing wet floor signs and safe working practices.

2. Dusts/washes furniture, sinks, toilets, showers, lightning fixtures, blinds, window sills, windows, etc.

3. Moves furniture to adequately clean and dust.

4. Uses sanitizing agents and disinfects areas.

5. Ensures soap dispensers are kept full.

6. Ensures paper towel dispensers and toilet paper racks are kept full.

7. Empties trash cans and relines, removes from facility to dumpster.

8. Knows and follows procedures for diluting, handling and storing hazardous chemicals.

9. Sets up isolation rooms with assistance from the nursing department and supervisor.

10. Follows proper infection control techniques.

11. Works closely with Nursing when providing services in resident areas.

12. Maintains effective communications with residents, families and facility staff.

Qualifications

1. Must be able to follow oral / written instructions.

2. Experience preferred.
