What You Can Expect
As our Human Resources Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with various HR tasks and projects, such as recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement. You will also have the opportunity to learn from tenured HR professionals and gain valuable skills and experience in the HR field. This position reports to the Human Resources Services Manager. The internship runs part-time from June 1, 2026 to August 21, 2026.
You will:
- Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and projects
- Help with the onboarding process, such as preparing welcome packages, conducting pre-hire background checks, and collecting paperwork
- Contribute to the development and delivery of HR process and materials
- Research and analyze HR best practices and trends
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers, and respond to their queries and requests
- Assist with additional HR requirements
What You’ll Bring
- You are currently enrolled in your undergraduate degree at a college or university program related to human resources, business administration, psychology, or a similar field
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of with a minimum of three (3) days in the Houston, TX office
- You can work up to 40 hours per week
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time for career fairs
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Assist with additional HR requirements that are requested
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite,
- You enjoy working independently and as part of a team, and can handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Compensation
Hourly Range: $22.50 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
