Job Summary:
Reporting into the CHRO Modaxo, the HRIS Manager is responsible for the enhancements, development and ongoing maintenance/support of HR Workday solution in support of the business strategy. They will provide expertise on configuration, functionality, applicability, and usability of HR production, cross-functional support, and data visualization solutions. Responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of HR Workday reporting solutions in support of the HR reporting strategy. Support the development of the strategy and roadmap for data quality and reporting, business intelligence, and the design and development of sophisticated reporting solutions.
This is a 10 months fixed-term contract and it will commence at the beginning of November 2024.
Job Description:
ACCOUNTABILITY, in a bit more detail the role will cover:
Projects Management & Enhancements
- Monitor and Control Project Work: Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project identify and quantify variances perform required corrective actions and communicate to all stakeholders.
- Proactively identify new trends and technologies for possible implementation and make recommendations on replacing or improving existing ineffective systems or processes.
- Effectively communicate and deliver information and related analysis using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Liaise with the global HR team and specialist groups to implement global standards and resolve issues across our instance of Workday.
- Support and execute bulk data loading activities, such as mass promotions, pay changes, and position changes using Workday’s EIB functionality.
- Lead and execute new acquisitions on Workday if required!
- Deliver new enhancements based on HRIS strategy and roadmap.
- Maintain and publish monthly global headcount and other reporting.
- And other duties as assigned.
Financials
- Obtain Project Approval.
- Manage changes to the project scope schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan accurate updated and reflective of authorized changes as defined in the change management plan.
Development and innovation
- Responsible for performing day-to-day Workday administrative functions including user setup, security maintenance, business process configuration, tenant configuration, data loads, and upgrades.
- Responsible for monitoring and resolving all end user tickets within a timely manner.
- Ownership of creating and maintaining documentation related to enhancements, business process and workflow changes.
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports and queries – both standard and custom.
- Create and maintain custom fields, objects, validation rules, etc. to meet business requirements.
- Identify, recommend, and track opportunities for process and operational improvements.
- Regularly perform data integrity audits and validation and follow up with appropriate steps for corrections if necessary.
- Help drive business process improvements and efficiencies by leveraging technology within the Workday platform and deliver measurable results.
- Research processes and requirements to ensure the system is configured in line with business needs and in compliance of audit requirements.
- Support Workday cyclical activities including the annual compensation review, performance reviews, release management and any upgrade cycles.
Staff:
- Engage others in the attainment of the vision for the future. Influence others by enthusiastically sharing the future vision as a means for them to attain their goals.
- Responsible for providing training to end users. Serve as the technical expert.
- Act as liaison across internal teams to resolve issues as necessary.
- Work alongside internal and external stakeholders to help deliver projects and enhancement requests.
- Assist HR, managers, and staff with systems-related inquiries related to systems usability, assuming a lead role for the Workday functionality and processes.
- Assist in HR team-wide projects and provide additional administrative support as required.
Experience:
- Previous experience of implementing HR systems in similar organisations and at a similar scale.
- Demonstrated ability with implementation of HRIS systems and processes (including employee lifecycle transactions), reporting tools, and working with business stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
- Workday experience is essential (minimum 2 years of solid experience handling Workday implementation, configuration and maintenance).
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of HR and payroll processes.
- Proficiency with MS Project.
- Project/HR/IT certification preferred but not essential.
Practical Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to interpret business requirements and work with the HRIS provider and implementation partners to support decision making.
- High degree of comfort with technology and reporting; advanced computer skills with high proficiency in Excel (especially V-lookups, pivot tables).
- Ability to translate and analyze complex data and communicate key findings to HR management, staff, and key stakeholders across the businesses.
- Strong influencing and change management capabilities and good interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented problem solver with excellent prioritization and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and support multiple workstreams.
- Experience in running test scenarios and User Acceptance Testing.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Able to demonstrate skills with reporting, auditing problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Possess an analytical approach with a good ability to identify, solve, and resolve system issues.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise feature work with strong attention to details and follow-through to meet targets.
