How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The main object and purpose of this position is to support the business strategy, objectives, and values of the company by managing and implementing the Human Resources programs and policies for the designated business unit in accordance with ALC’s strategy. The incumbent is the contact person for managers, VP and employees of the designated business unit in all matters concerning Human Resources management, employee relations, compensation, while promoting ALC’s quality and safety objectives.1. Provides support to Vice president and managers in the implementation of ALC’s business strategy, objectives, and values: As HR Business Partner, coach and guide managers on all HR issues as relates to their operations and management decisions and makes appropriate HR recommendations to obtain the greatest efficiencies possible and meet the targeted objectives (transfers, promotions, reorganization, succession planning) while ensuring the consistent and fair treatment of all employees.2. Ensures skill development: In conjunction with one VP and managers, and partnering with the different Coe’s, determines the skills needed to support the business strategy, identifies recruitment requirements, develops succession plan while helping to identify key positions and potential candidates, Identify training needs and potential development programs. Meets employees to learn about their interests and projects in order to be able to orient their career decisions while ensuring continuity with the succession plan. identify recruiting needs and provide the necessary recommendations to the talent acquisition team to recruit the best talents.3. Takes on an analytical and advisory role with the VP and the managers of each business units.: Advises VP and managers in matters of labor relations, interpretation and application of collective agreements, labour legislation and regulations, and compliance with ALC’s policies and procedures. Recommends administrative and disciplinary measures for employees together with appropriate action plans for monitoring employee performance. Analyses the climate of labor relations and advises management on how to ensure constructive working relations between the various unionized and non-unionized groups. Participates in the preparation of management demands for the various unionized groups, and participates actively in the collective bargaining process.4. Manages compensation programs for the business unit : Ensures that the management of annual salary increases and of the variable compensation program complies with ALC’s standards and objectives. Conducts salary evaluations for new hires and internal moves, and discusses market adjustments with the Coe compensation team. Participates in the job evaluation process.5. HR transformation expert and projet leader :Define change management strategies and lead major business or HR transformation projects.6.
