We drive team member engagement through store events, having fun and connecting with the people who make our company the amazing place it is today!ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an opening for an in-person Human Resources Coordinator at our Vernon, BC Head Office. Reporting to our Head of Human Resources and working within our team of six, you will assume responsibility for a broad range of HR activities including but not limited to:Learning and Development
- Supporting Learning and Development initiatives by running reports, auditing completion status, organizing training sessions, and promoting employee growth.
- Maintaining online seminar enrollments for vendor trainings, as necessary.
- Uploading and tracking training certifications
Engagement Initiatives
- Taking ownership of retail and office HR related events – driving development, approval, coordination, and execution (including hands-on event management)
- Administering and coordinating the employee milestone program (new hire gifting, recognition awards, birthdays, life events, etc.)
- Actively working to nurture, develop and grow Nature’s Fare’s company culture.
General Support
- Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding process by crafting job postings, conducting phone screens, drafting employment contracts, and completing HRIS enrollments.
- Managing the shared HR email box, responding to employment-related inquiries from employees and escalating complex HR issues and confidentiality to the right people.
- Supporting various administrative functions such as document updates, e-file maintenance, memos, employment contracts, wage change letters, etc.
- Assisting the HR Generalist team with maintaining our health and safety programs, ensuring documents are filed, OHS topics are delivered, and claims are managed in a timely fashion.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in a related role
- Strong technology skills: MS Office; Adobe; Power Point; HRIS systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information with accuracy and efficiency.
- Post Secondary education in Human Resource Management or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
- Working toward or possessing a CPHR designation (optional, but considered a strong asset).
