Working for Pembina means working safely.Overview:Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Human Resources Co-op Student to join the team for an 8-month term from January to August 2025. This position reports to the Manager, Employee Services & Talent Acquisition in the Human Resources Service Unit (HSU) part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Division. The Human Resources Department helps the various business and service units by ensuring we recruit, develop and retain the necessary talent needed to achieve the organization’s strategic goals.As a member of the HR Operations team, the successful candidate will support key activities primarily for the Talent Acquisition and Employee Services teams, while also demonstrating flexibility to support team members across Compliance and Technical Training, HRIS, Payroll, and others.Responsibilities may include but not limited to:Talent Acquisition

  • Assist in the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, and interview coordination.
  • Support the talent acquisition team in managing candidate communications and maintaining candidate pipelines.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process from start to finish.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and take on projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Coordinate efforts and initiatives in recruiting students, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from sourcing to onboarding.

Employee Services

  • Respond to employee requests regarding payroll, benefits, and general HR questions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in resolving employee inquiries and issues related to HR policies and procedures.
  • Action key employee activities in the HR system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Other projects across the department, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an HR or related program at an accredited post-secondary institution returning to school in September 2025;
  • Ability to take initiative and drive progress in work;
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work;
  • Comfort working with different stakeholders on different projects;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint; and
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a corporate HR environment is an asset.
