Job Description:Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Director to join their team. Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the HR Director will play a pivotal role in managing a wide spectrum of HR tasks, including talent management activities, total rewards strategy, and employee health and safety functionalities.Responsibilities:-Develop an effective talent acquisition and retention strategy that aligns with the organizational goals and operational needs-Oversee the entire recruitment process, including selection, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retention of job applicants with relevant experience-Design and implement comprehensive training and development plans that address the current and future skills and competencies required within the organization-Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, propose competitive salary structures and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent-Act as a primary liaison for all labor relations activities, providing expert advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of the collective agreement, labor, and employment legislation-Address employee and labor relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations-Lead the Health and Safety function, ensuring the organization’s practices are aligned with legislative requirements and best practices-Stay updated with changes relevant to labor legislation and HR best practices, ensuring the organization’s practices are compliant-Play a key role as a change agent, ensuring smooth implementation of change efforts in line with the organization’s strategic plan-Oversee the planning, procurement, budgeting, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Information Technology (IT) hardware and software systems-Supervise and support the HR Administrator, the Scheduling Coordinator, and IT support staff.Requirements:Qualifications:-Proven experience in Human Resources, with at least 7 years in a leadership role-Proficiency in managing employee relations and resolving conflicts-In-depth knowledge of hiring processes, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding-Extensive experience in ensuring compliance with labor laws and employment standards-Demonstrated ability in Human Resources (HR) administration, such as benefits administration, HR records management, and employee services-Expertise in strategic planning and implementation to align HR initiatives with business goalsIf this position interests you and you think you are the right fit, do not wait, apply online today or call us at 613-236-4253!Job Reference Number: 0013114537
