HVAC Specialist – Maintenance – Plant Engineering
Five 8-hour shifts, 7:00a-3:30p (rotating weekends and holidays)
Job Description:
The HVAC Specialist in the Plant Engineering Department specializes in heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning (HVACR) systems. This role requires technical expertise and experience in HVACR systems, including maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and project management. As an HVACR technician, the HVAC Specialist ensures that our healthcare system’s HVACR infrastructure is efficient, effective, and compliant with all relevant regulations and standards. This position places patient care and infection control standards as a top priority, following and aligning all activities with these standards. The role may require working outside of regularly scheduled shifts, in inclement weather, or in situations of emergency. All roles within the Engineering department are required to adopt and utilize the CMMS work order system to effectively communicate across the organization and manage activities and assets.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required, or higher.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience required.
An active and valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Journeyman HVAC License preferred.
Experience in refrigeration/Ice machine preferred.
