The Consultant will undertake a short-term assignment over 35 working days to support UNDP Indonesia’s project on strengthening women’s civil society and women environmental human rights defenders (WEHRDs) for a just, green future. The Consultant will lead a rapid assessment to evaluate the capacities, risks, and institutional needs of WEHRDs and women-led CSOs in Indonesia. This includes developing an enhanced methodology, conducting literature reviews and primary data collection, and identifying social and environmental risks along with mitigation strategies. In close coordination with the National Commission on Violence Against Women (NCVAW), the Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR), and other stakeholders, the Consultant will deliver a comprehensive report with actionable recommendations. These findings will guide capacity-building programs and inform efforts to strengthen gender-responsive legal and institutional protection frameworks for WEHRDs.
Period of assignment/services: 35 working days in August to September 2025.
