ICU Jordan Office logistician

Position: Logistician

Type of contract: Part time, 3 days per week

Duty Station: Amman, with visits to other Jordanian governorates as necessary.

Estimated gross salary: 400 JOD

ICU is an International Non-Governmental Organization recognized by the European Commission and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs implementing development co-operation projects in developing countries and fostering information and education on international solidarity issues.

Position Overview

ICU is seeking a knowledgeable Logistician to support the operations of our local office in Amman. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient logistics management and effective communication with partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The Logistician is expected to perform the following duties:

a) Provide support to the operations and logistics of the local office in Amman.

b) Provide support for needs assessment, contact with partners and other public and private stakeholders and collection of data to be used for drafting new project proposals and project reports.

c) Manage relationships with suppliers for the provision of goods and services, support the preparation and collection of documentation for suppliers and payment requests, and ensure that payments are processed in a timely manner and according to donor procedures.

d) Support the administrative department in preparing procurement documents and reviewing documents for reporting.

e) Support the translation of administrative documents (invoices, estimates, receipts, etc.) if necessary.

f) Produce timesheets and reports.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong communication and public relations skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Experience in logistics management and administrative support is preferred.
