The International Monetary Fund has an opening for two Data Management Analysts/Sr. Data Management Analysts to support its online learning program. The IMF provides training to member country officials on topics spanning from macroeconomic analysis to monetary and fiscal policy, macro-financial linkages, balance of payments issues, financial markets and institutions, as well as statistical and legal frameworks in these areas. The IMF’s online program aims at expanding the volume of training to member country officials while sharing knowledge with a wider audience through free massive open online courses (MOOCs) and other online learning modalities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of ICDIP management, the selected candidates will manage the development of online and blended courses, microlearning videos, and other online learning products, in collaboration with various capacity development departments. The selected candidates will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Create and manage project plans and budgets to ensure the timely and on-budget delivery of high-quality online products, including new online courses, adaptations of existing courses into languages other than English, new and repurposed microlearning videos, and blended courses.
- Coordinate the activities of external vendors involved in the development of online products.
- Contribute to the buildout of courses authored in Articulate 360 and hosted on the edX platform and other learning management systems.
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that all products meet the standards and requirements of the program.
- Develop data visualizations using PowerBI.
- Support the ongoing delivery of the online program curriculum (reruns), incorporating lessons learned and evaluation data.
- Support ongoing program needs, including communications and marketing.
The selected candidate will be part of the team delivering the IMF’s online learning program and is expected to contribute to the overall work program of the team and of the division.
Minimum qualifications:
Educational development, typically acquired through the completion of a university degree in programming/systems, computer science, statistics, finance, mathematics, economics, or a related field of study, is required. Alternatively, a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related position at Grade A5, or equivalent, is required.
The candidate should have:
- Strong project management skills and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative and attention to detail; ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects effectively; ability to work under pressure both autonomously and in a team environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with subject matter experts, and to manage cross-functional teams to deliver individual projects.
In-depth knowledge of processes involved in online course development and delivery and of the edX platform would be a strong advantage, in addition to experience working with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
Experience using Cvent or other survey tools, proficiency in French or Arabic, as well as in Articulate 360 are highly desirable, as is familiarity with multimedia authoring tools and software, including the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and other audio/video editing software.
Only candidates who are currently residing in the Washington DC metro area will be considered.
This is a one-year contractual position. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative service, based on the incumbent’s performance, budget availability, and continuing business need.
