We are seeking an Indian specialty cook with experience at our EWR Unit.
Essential Functions

  • Expertly prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, tandoori items, and appetizers, following traditional recipes.
  • Utilize classic Indian cooking methods-roasting, braising, simmering-to maximize flavor and authenticity.
  • Maintain precise recipe adherence and portion control to ensure consistent quality
  • Monitor ingredients levels, minimize waste, and uphold high culinary standards
  • Work efficiently across multiple kitchen stations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in compliance with hygiene and sanitation regulations
  • Follow all food safety protocols under the Food Safety Management System
  • Identify and report any food safety or operational concerns to management
  • Support daily operations through inventory management, food preparation, and other assigned kitchen tasks.
  • Must train your team in all aspects from prepping to cooking.

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • 2 years Cook experience in specified type of Cuisine with a minimum of 1 years as a Lead Cook in a high volume cooking institution/airline catering
  • Experience with multi-airlines (international customers preferred)
  • Ability to read, speak and write English
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Bilingual necessary-Specialty language and English

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibility.
