Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Industrial HVAC Engineer in the Food & Beverage Group.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting job-site surveys of food and beverage plant HVAC systems
- Define system sanitary requirements for food production spaces
- Determine equipment technology and strategies for moisture control and energy reduction
- Produce food process area heat load calculations for production, downtime, and cleanup modes
- Create psychrometric calculations and charts for food process area conditions
- Develop instrument points list and sequence of operation
- Developing project documentation including drawings, air flow diagrams, equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.;
- Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Frequent (30-40%) travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
- At least four years of relevant industrial HVAC engineering experience
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- On-site experience integrating equipment into existing systems
- Specification of sanitary air handling equipment
- Experience developing Air Flow Diagrams for food and/or industrial projects
- Proficiency in MS Office software
- Experience mentoring less experienced staff
- Food plant experience
- PE
- Experience running load calculations
- Comfortable with leading project specific client contact

Salary range: $95,000 – $115,000 – (Commensurate with experience).
