Talgo Inc. refurbishes passenger railcars for LA MetroLink at our Milwaukee facility, focusing on high quality mechanical and structural work to extend the service life of the railcars for another 30 years.
We are looking for experienced industrial painters with strong surface preparation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict quality and safety standards. If you’re ready to grow your skills and make a real impact, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers as needed
• Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment to railcar components, full train bodies, and underframes
• Detect and resolve errors during the painting and surface treating process
• Use equipment and materials in compliance with safety and technical standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve painting issues in the paint booth
• Read and follow blueprints, procedures, and technical documentation

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical certification is a plus)
• 2+ years of industrial painting experience (rail, automotive, or industrial preferred)
• Experience with blast booth operation is a plus
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and paint system documentation
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and on a team

Physical and Other Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Frequently required to stand, walk and perform manual tasks
• Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, or climb
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around airborne particles and wear necessary PPE
• Ability to work 2nd shift (3:00PM – 11:30PM)
