The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Parliamentary Service Level 5 Information Management Officer within the Information Services Division (ISD).
The Information Management Officer plays a crucial role, supporting a unique workforce, ensuring the effective management of the departments’ information assets.
The Information Management Section works closely with ISD and other areas of the department to facilitate the creation, maintenance, and preservation of information, in line with the Australian Parliament Digital Strategy and the DPS Enterprise Information Strategy, ensuring that it is secure, accessible, and compliant with relevant regulations.
The Information Management Officer will have opportunity to contribute to the shaping of innovative information management processes and solutions as part of a small dynamic team.
The Information Management Officer PSL5 is required to undertake work that is moderately complex in nature and operates sometimes under limited direction. The Information Management Officer PSL5 will have troubleshooting skills and provide client support and advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on internal procedures, policies and legislation. The Information Management Officer PSL5 will participate in internal projects and undertake procedural, clerical, administrative support, or operational tasks. The Information Management Officer PSL5 will be required to communicate with and provide advice to a wide variety of customers and external stakeholders.

Immediate supervisor: Assistant Director Information Management
Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Service Level 5 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Contribute to the monitoring, triage and resolution of enquiries via the section’s incident management tool (currently ServiceNOW).
2. Manage the collection of physical records holdings – including archival transfers, stocktakes, retention, preservation, and disposal in line with legislative and whole-of-government policy requirements.
3. Assist in the development and maintenance of DPS-specific information management and Content Manager Tip sheets and quick reference guides.
4. Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, internal/external stakeholders, and service providers to ensure positive customer outcomes.

Currently, the salary range for this position is $86,137 – $92,412 per annum.
