Job Summary
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience in Desktop Support for a hybrid remote work model. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our workforce.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for desktop systems ensuring all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of desktop hardware and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktop systems both remotely and on-site.
Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration and operation of desktop systems within the overall IT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates and patches to maintain optimal functionality.
Assist in the development and implementation of desktop support policies and procedures.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with company standards and security protocols.
Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding and use of desktop systems.
Document all support activities and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.
Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new desktop technologies and tools.
Ensure all desktop systems are secure and protected against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Support the IT team in various projects and initiatives aimed at improving overall system performance and user experience.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective support.
Qualifications
Possess strong technical skills in desktop support including installation configuration and troubleshooting.
Have experience with remote desktop support tools and techniques.
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Show strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively interact with end-users and team members.
Exhibit the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Have a solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
Be familiar with various operating systems including Windows and macOS.
Possess a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact users.
Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest desktop support technologies and trends.
Have experience in creating and maintaining documentation related to desktop support processes and procedures.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid remote work environment.
Be adaptable and flexible to changing priorities and demands.
Have a customer-focused mindset ensuring a positive user experience in all interactions.
Certifications Required
CompTIA A+ Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
