About the Position: This position is located in the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Plans & Operations Division located at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Responsibilities Provides management oversight, advice, planning, and funding coordination of all automation and communication requirements for the organization. Serves as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) cardholder for the purchase of IT supplies and equipment as required. Responsible for planning, developing, configuring, maintaining, and providing support to employees concerning computer automation, copiers, telephone services, printing services and all information management disciplines. Serve as the organization’s Records Manager or the Records Coordinator for Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS). Serves as Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) monitoring all users to ensure the organization remains in compliance with Installation Information Assurance (IA) requirements. Monitor all common user Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) baseline service delivery and support provided by the NEC. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as 1) providing assistant oversight on coordination of all automation and communication requirements for the organization; 2) serving as Government Purchase Card (GPC) cardholder for the purchase of IT supplies and equipment; 3) monitoring all users to ensure the organization remains in compliance with Installation Information Assurance (IA) requirements; and 4) ensuring the implementation of appropriate record keeping procedures that comply with Army regulations and guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR, Education Substitution: Successful completion of at least a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Management or Information Management, etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR, Combination of Experience and Education Substitution: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 36 hours (total semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at 100% to qualify. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
