About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Information Security Manager in technology as part of Cybersecurity who will support initiatives from multiple stakeholders in the field of data discovery and data classification. This role leads engineering teams in the implementation of specialized commercial off the shelf tools as well as custom developed software supporting these business functions.
In this role, you will:
Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of individual contributor engineers that are building high quality capabilities with modern technology that delights our customers.
Hire, build, and develop teams to have the skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for the product areas/products that they support. This includes hiring quality, diverse talent with experience with agile and modern engineering practices (microservices, API, DevOps, etc.).
Manage and enable adherence to the Banking Product and Platform Architecture and meeting non-functional requirements with each release.
Partner with product managers/ product owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, and promote innovative and intelligent solutions while being a strong advocate of agile and DevOps practices.
Partner with product managers/ product owners in planning and creation of product roadmap to enable business outcomes, generate corporate value, and articulate technical strategy and value.
Partner with Scrum Master Manager(s) to provide oversight and guidance on team structures including location, hygiene, gearing ratios and archetypes
Be called upon to be the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning and be well-versed in utilization of cloud and other enterprise solutions.
Drive or assist with resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards.
Technology expertise to build engineering skills (side-by-side) in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as needed.
Provide career development and performance management for engineers and managers on your team(s).
Demonstrate strong and innovative approaches to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, accountability, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.
Partner with architects and experienced engineers to incorporate WFT technical strategies.
Understand next generation domain architecture and enable application migration paths to target architecture (e.g. cloud readiness, app modernization, data strategy).
Interpret and ensure security, stability, and scalability within key areas of technology risk.
Be a culture carrier: demonstrate servant leadership, encourage continuous learning, experimentation, and continual improvement culture, and be an escalation partner for Scrum Masters and the teams to help remove impediments, obstacles, and friction.
Assist with or interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers.
Identify, manage, and mitigate technology and enterprise risk.
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for technology engineering.
Manage and develop a team of individual contributors with low to moderate complexity and risk
Provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business
Maintain an advanced awareness of bank security policies and government regulations pertaining to information security
Identify security risks and solutions for networks and virtual private network applications, security tools, public key infrastructures, authentication and directory services, and access management services
Address vulnerability detection, threat data, network intrusion, development, and implementation of vulnerability mitigation strategies
Formulate and implement information security solutions and controls
Make decisions and resolve issues regarding changes to information security policy, standards, and procedures as needed for systems, applications, and tools
Recommend compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
Lead complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more business lines
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
Lead team to achieve objectives
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Information Security Analysis
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of Leadership experience
Experience in data governance and data classification
Experience implementing commercial off the shelf products at a large scale
Experience with managing foundational technology controls and compliance for applications
Ability to negotiate with cross functional teams to obtain objectives
Desired Qualifications:
Previous software engineering experience supporting and integrating COTS (commercial off the shelf tools) into an enterprise environment
Previous cryptography experience
Experience implementing Securiti.ai or similar data discovery tool
Security certifications or industry certifications
