Job Title: Information Security Specialist- Internet Presence Location: Macquarie Park Position Summary The role will lead the work of risk assessing Optus’s Internet Presence that includes URLs, Mobile Applications etc. The activity, termed as Internet Presence Governance; involves: Discover and owner identify the entities (URL – Websites, MA – Mobile Applications) Catalogue and risk assess the entities Take down all orphan entities Decommission and Data erase form the orphan entities Identify gaps in the security governance of these entities Improve the processes to ensure improved governance of the entities Provide management report on the gaps along with the remediation plans This is an ongoing annual task and the activity involves lifecycle management. The individual must possess: Good knowledge about Information Security and Cyber Risks Deep knowledge of web and mobile security Deep knowledge of cybersecurity practices, risk assessments and compliance activities In depth knowledge of risks assessment process Multi-Cycle knowledge in driving compliance for web and mobile security standards Strong stakeholder’s management skills Strong analytical, research and recommendation skills Good skills in preparing and presenting management reports and dashboards Key Responsibilities Review and understand the present process Understand the Web and Mobile Application security processes and its adherence within Optus environment Analyse the entities and categorize them appropriately for assessment Define relevant remediation strategies for the entities Define the End to End plan for Internet Presence Security governance Execute Internet Presence Security Governance program to the plan Work with the different stakeholder resources to run the plan to the schedule and cost Ensure at every stage of the project the quality of our assessments and actions are held to the highest order Monitor and drive remediation of identified issues with stakeholders Accurately report on project progress and status of identified risk to appropriate level of management as required Assess, document and communicate risks in context with business operations Working together with other functions of Security & Risk on refining risk and security practices Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business Execution of and alignment with regional security assessment initiatives locally Experience and Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (or compensating experience). CISSP accreditation 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity risk assessments, delivery of core security solutions and security compliance management. Requires knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms Strong Internet Security Skills Knowledge of information security principles and practices, understanding of security protocols and defense in depth Knowledge of various IT standards and practices such as: Web Security Mobile Security ISMS Driving compliance for organisation Good analytical and communication skills Ability to perform under pressure Focused on developing positive results/outcomes Flexibility in approach to problem/issue resolution Team player with can-do attitude Autonomous and self-motivated Ability to think outside the box Good people management skills and generous commonsense Competent and pragmatic Cyber/Information Security.
