Position Overview:

This position is available to work from anywhere in the United States.

Category Manager utilizes specific subject matter knowledge, and contracting and customer relations skills to contribute to

Sutter Health affordability and clinical quality in the system-wide Ambulatory and Physician Foundation (Ambulatory)

environment. The Category Manager will integrate with other members of Sutter Health’s Strategic Sourcing staff to enhance

the direct involvement of clinical and administrative staff in the contracting and value management process in order to improve

the affordability of Ambulatory and Physician Foundation sites as measured by:

• Reduction of supply costs without any negative impact to operations;

• Increased participation of clinical leaders and staff;

• Improved clinician awareness and satisfaction with the decision process;

• Increased standardization of product selection and related clinical care processes;

• Enhanced reporting of both cost and quality; and

• Contract implementation

Job Description :

EDUCATION:

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

• Bachelor’s: Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain, or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 8 years recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Information Services Category Management

Capabilities in the use of personal computers and ms office suite of software applications.

Analytical skills including the ability to develop and manipulate spreadsheets and create professional presentation materials.

Ability and willingness to thrive in a matrix organization.

Ability to drive and independently make site visits.

Pay Range is $53.59 to $80.39 / hour. For: Floridia Pay Range is $48.24 to $72.36 / hour.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
