Position Overview
We are seeking a Cyber Security Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the F-35 Reprogramming Laboratories at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. In this role, you will perform critical information system security tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and government requirements to protect sensitive data. Your work will directly contribute to the success of the F-35 program.
Key Responsibilities
Information Security Management: Implement and maintain information security practices using ,b>RMF (Risk Management Framework), JSIG, DoD 8500, NIST, CNSSI, and F-35 Security Authorization documentation.
- System Configuration: Configure and maintain secure information systems, ensuring compliance with government standards.
- Documentation Support: Assist in developing System Security Plans (SSPs) and other security documentation, including gaining government approvals for system operations.
- System Auditing: Conduct regular system audits to validate security posture, manage anti-virus software, and sanitize systems and components as needed.
- Account Management: Handle account management tasks, ensuring only authorized users have access.
- Inspection Preparation: Prepare for and support security inspections, addressing any identified issues and ensuring readiness.

- Security Knowledge: Experience with RMF, JSIG, DoD 8500, or similar frameworks related to cybersecurity and government regulations.
- Technical Skills: Ability to configure and secure information systems. Familiarity with auditing, boundary security, and anti-virus management.
- Documentation: Experience preparing security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) and government-required approvals.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address and resolve security issues.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively across different teams and departments.
Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.

Basic Qualifications:
- DoD IAT Level II certification: Security+ or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of operating systems and physical security requirements.
- Frequent use and application of technical principles, IA methodologies and concepts.
Desired Skills:
- Must maintain DoD 8570 certification for the duration of your employment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Prior experience as an Information System Security Officer.
- Attention to detail and adherence to established security policies.
- Experience using McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator
- Experience using Security Center/ACAS – Assured Compliance Assessment Solution
- Experience using Splunk – Security Information and Event Management tools
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
