Job Description:
Sumaria Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology Program Manager to help win and manage our growing portfolio of Enterprise IT contracts. These contracts will include support to medical IT systems for the Defense Health Agency as well as military base infrastructure and government agency IT services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating, designing, implementing, and overseeing complex IT systems and infrastructure projects, with a focus on government and military environments.

Required Skills:

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring best practices in design, development, and deployment. Guide and engage with solutions architects and engineering teams to provide prospective or current customers with professional IT services, as required. These services may include:
  • Develop comprehensive solutions architecture including network, security, data management, and application infrastructure.
  • Perform site surveys to ascertain the true state of the network and establish the baseline for a modernized design and architecture. The specific requirements for performance, to include any reports to be provided, will be identified for each project.
  • Advise on the operation of modernized networks to ensure each project meets performance thresholds defined in Service Level Agreements.
  • Execute studies and analysis such as analyzing whether new technologies or capabilities could be incorporated into the network, alternative design approaches, or contingency mitigations.
• Program Management: Work closely with site or project leads to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects, managing risks and issues as they arise. These projects may include:
  • Operate existing government networks. This will include maintaining mission operability and gathering information necessary to inform the modernization efforts.
  • Develop and deliver modernized network architecture designs capable of meeting the performance thresholds defined for each project to include:
  • Implement modernized networks. This will include assist and advise on the pricing, purchase, material list, configuration, test, validation and installation of new network hardware, installation of infrastructure (fiber optic and/or other cabling), repair or replacement of existing hardware or infrastructure, and any other efforts necessary to deliver a network that meets new modernized project performance requirements.
  • Assisting with gathering, preparing and submitting deliverables, as required, to our government customers or prime contractor.
• Proposal Support: Contribute to bid and proposal efforts, as needed, related to Sumaria Enterprise IT offerings.
• Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure quality and timely delivery of services and products.

Required Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in an IT/IS related field and ten years of experience leading teams and projects engaged in providing Enterprise IT services for a DoD component.

Desired Certifications: PMP and/or CISSP

Travel: Yes (up to 12 weeks/year)

Security Clearance Required: DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI
