Who we are looking for: 

VML is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Copywriter Intern. The successful candidate will work alongside some of the best creative minds in the business and assist in conceptualizing and writing great work for some of our amazing clients. The intern will explore their writing through a variety of platforms, including branded content, digital experiences and platforms, complete 360-degree advertising campaigns, and more. 

What you’ll do: 

• Assist in creating actual work alongside some of the best creative minds in the business for some of the best brands in the world
• Work with the Creative Director and other team members to develop concepts and ideas for campaigns across various media channels
• Write clear, concise, and compelling copy that effectively communicates the desired message to the target audience
• Collaborate with designers, art directors, and other team members to ensure the copy and design work together seamlessly
• Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
• Attend team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions
• Complete assigned tasks and projects within given deadlines

Who you are: 

• Passion and desire to pursue a career in a related field (marketing or advertising)
• A portfolio of clever, campaign-worthy work strategically hitting all relevant media channels
• Ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas
• Enthusiasm for producing great creative work
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team player mentality and a positive attitude
• Sense of humor is a big plus

What you’ll need: 

• Familiarity with advertising and marketing principles
• Experience with social media platforms and content creation
• Knowledge of SEO best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
• Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
