Analyze and review DRG changes from various payers. Will work closely with the DRG Audit Improvement Committee.
Reach out to physician offices to obtain necessary medical record documentation to compliantly complete coding and billing functions within the HIM Department.
Assist with the completion of birth certificates at the Women’s and Children’s Center as needed.
Assist with updates to Standard Work processes within various areas of the department.
Work with release of information staff to assist with completion of requests for medical records.
Work with document imaging center staff to assist with scanning of legal medical record documents within OnBase.
Any other duties as assigned by the Executive and/or Associate Directors within HIM.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:Students actively enrolled in or recently graduated from a Health Information Management diploma or degree program.
EXPERIENCE:Excellent writing, editing, organizational and personal skills.
Capable of handling moderate stress while maintaining a positive attitude.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word & Excel).
