International Trade Associate (Mid-Level)

Venable LLP’s International Trade Group seeks a mid-level associate with a minimum of three years of experience to join the practice in the Washington, D.C. office.

The qualified candidate has experience working on customs, export controls (ITAR and EAR), economic sanctions, shipping, and transport/logistics (FMC, DOT, STB). A firm knowledge base of free trade agreements, trade policy and government affairs and legislative work is strongly preferred. The successful candidates is an independent self-starter, with a demonstrated interest in trade work. Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction’s bar. Please include law school transcripts with submissions.

The salary range for associate positions is $215,000 to $355,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials and certifications, responsibilities and performance.
