The IRC’s Global Finance Team seeks to achieve excellence in financial management by providing accurate and timely financial information to IRC management and programs and by adhering to established financial practices and accounting principles. We do this by supporting, oversight and training finance staff in field offices; by implementing IRC and donor policies and procedures; leading financial forecasting and planning, proactive risk management; consolidating financial results; and, ensuring reliable financial reporting (internal and external).

Job Overview:
The Finance Transformation Manager supports a distributed team that designs and implements finance transformation initiatives to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This is primarily achieved through project and organizational change, process optimization, training and communication. The scope of finance transformation is broad, cross-functional and affects all levels of the organization. The role reports to the Deputy Director, ERP.

Major Responsibilities:

• Support, develop, and lead transformation strategies, as well as implement plans to deliver improved outcomes in finance operations.
• Engage with finance leadership in program offices and teams to ensure compliance with IRC accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles in data processing.
• Provide technical training, translation and accounting support on Finance system changes, new accounting policies, procedures, and ways of working.
• Guide continuous improvement so that processes are tailored to the needs of the region and the offices within it.
• Collaborate with Finance leads, their teams, and key customers to prioritize focal areas and engage in transformation projects.
• Ensure partner engagement by building partnerships across Finance and other business functions, including subsidiaries, affiliates and country programs.
• Implement plans that result in successful adoption and achieve measured improvements.
• Provide surge capacity to country offices or fill gaps in the local finance teams as required.
• Raise awareness of the need for change and build a desire to encourage change.
• Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing to break down silos and achieve the best results for transformation and optimized execution.
• Track and analyze success metrics and provide regular updates on status and progress.
• Document key learning and use this to improve knowledge management and revise change management plans.

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years’ progressive experience within NGO finance and/or operations in the field
• 2-3 years’ experience of ERP implementation
• 1-2 years’ experience providing technical systems support.
• Skilled at facilitating cross-functional projects in an efficient yet collaborative manner.
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills, and follow-up skills

• Written and spoken proficiency in English and French.

• Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills

• Sophisticated MS Excel skills
• Excellent writing, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Willingness to travel to IRC offices within the region up to 50% of the time.
• Able to work with diverse teams in diverse locations, engaging their input and dedication to success
