Isolation room managerLocation: Selston, Ng16Days: 5 days, Monday – Friday, Term Time OnlyHours: 8:00am – 4:00pmPay Rate: £110 – £130Start Date: 10/02/2025Benefits: Temp to Perm opportunity | Free School Meals* | OFSTED Rated GOOD School | Weekly CPD OpportunitiesPurpose: Support the school in managing the needs of students who require particular support to overcome behavioural, emotional or social barriers to learning in order for them to engage fully with learning in a mainstream context. You will manage the school isoaltion room (reset room) assisting students in accessing the curriclum.Job Roles & Responsibilites:
- Manage the student behaviour and isolation room within the school, including direct call outs only to the behaviour incidents.
- To meet and greet students who have been placed into the behaviour and isolation room.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students within the base and assist in their behavioural, emotional and social development.
- To manage and create a calm, working atmosphere with the minimum of disturbance and confrontation whilst applying the whole school expectations assertively and fairly.
- To undertake comprehensive assessments of students to determine those in need of particular support and target personalised interventions.
- Challenge and motivate students within the internal isolation setting as well as promote and reinforce self-esteem.
- Provide information and advice to enable students to make choices about their own behaviour.
- Provide feedback to students within the isolation setting in relation to their progress, achievement, behaviour and attendance.
- Identify students who require reasonable adjustments to their curriculum provision in order to manage their behavioural needs.
- Liaise with the SENCO regarding students who require additional behaviour support and have SEND needs
- To observe lessons and assist subject teachers to evaluate student’s individual behaviour management needs and advise on strategies to help improve behaviour and engagement in lessons, including the implementation of Individual Education Plans for Behaviour.
- Manage and develop in liaison with the Heads of Year identifying small group mentoring arrangements and behaviour 1:1 support, to run selected mentoring sessions.
