Salary Range: $102,000 – $129,400

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Business Consultant/ Business Analyst to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. This role involves close collaboration with Product Owners, Development Teams, Stakeholders, and Experience Design to identify business problems, conduct root cause analysis, provide recommendations, and translate requirements into Agile epics, features, and user stories. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, build relationships and trust with stakeholders and developers, and have a progress-over-perfection mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to understand current workflows and systems.
  • Document existing processes and systems, create requirements for new processes, develop use cases, and manage requirement changes.
  • Capture and translate stakeholder needs, expectations, and constraints into features and user stories.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize the backlog in line with roadmap deliverables and user story readiness.
  • Facilitate in-person stakeholder workshops for process understanding and requirements gathering, project kick-offs and close-outs, Agile Ceremonies (incremental planning sessions, retrospectives, collaboration sessions) to ensure cross-functional alignment across the organization.
  • Participation in critical in-person meetings: executive presentations, Solution Design sessions, journey mapping and testing sessions.
  • Work autonomously with all levels of management, demonstrating motivation and self-direction.
  • Listen to partners, ask probing questions, and analyze data to identify outliers and connections to improve tools and processes.
  • Influence without authority to drive process improvement and streamline workflows.
  • Create gap assessments, needs assessments, process flows, value stream maps, and other visual diagrams.
  • Help maintain and update the product/project roadmap.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Business Analysis, or related functions, with accountability for loading requirements and process modeling activities in Agile and Waterfall environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Business Analysis (such as PMI-PBA or CBAP).
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) and DMN (Decision Model and Notation).
  • Experience in facilitation, including leading workshops and review sessions.
  • Proficient in eliciting and analyzing business needs and requirements from stakeholders.
  • Skilled in critically evaluating information from multiple sources and decomposing high-level information into detailed components.
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining artifacts such as use cases, business requirements, rules, and business process diagrams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users, developers, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and user story writing.
