IT Manager – Engineering Tools

Job Description

As an IT Manager at Honeywell Advanced Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in managing and guiding our IT department to facilitate our advanced manufacturing operations. You will be accountable for developing and implementing IT strategies, ensuring the effective integration of technology into our manufacturing processes. With your technical expertise and guidance, you will drive innovation, optimize efficiency, and enhance productivity.

You will report directly to our Director of Operations and you’ll work out of our Morris Plains, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact our manufacturing operations by implementing cutting-edge technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration of IT systems, and driving continuous improvement. You will be working with Product Lifecycle Management solutions (PLM) and be responsible for managing and implementing PLM across the enterprise to provide competitive advantages and value to the business.

This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement IT strategies to facilitate advanced manufacturing operations.
• Ensure the effective integration of technology into manufacturing processes.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in IT systems and processes.
• Manage and guide the IT department, providing technical expertise and guidance.
• Manage and implement Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) across the enterprise, including document management solutions, drawing management solutions, and workflow solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align IT efforts with business goals.
• Utilize engineering tools such as Ansys, Mathworks, Autodesk, Autodesk Vault, Mentor, and PTC to support manufacturing operations.
• Implement and manage engineering data management tools, smart builder, HMI web power tool, drawing generator, control match, and other internally developed tools.
• Collaborate with the GPO Engineering Tools Support Team to ensure the productivity and quality of engineering service

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 5+ years of experience in IT management or a related role
• Experience with the following technologies: Ansys, Mathworks, Autodesk, Autodesk Vault, Mentor, PTC, Aspen, Solidworks, Comsol, Minitab
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in IT systems and processes
• Proven track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
