Note that the position may be in the Canadian Branch of BNP Paribas or in one of its subsidiaries based in Montreal.The position at a glanceIT Production is a transversal function which provides all core technologies, production security and applications support to all businesses of the bank in the Americas. Project Management team ensures the delivery of IT Production Americas projects to support business objectives, such as site buildouts, datacenter migrations, meet regulatory and security requirements or implementation of new technologies.In detailThe Project Manager is responsible for ensuring successful delivery of IT Production Americas projects in their scope.

  • The Project Manager works cross-functionally and collaborates closely with other stakeholders across the region and in Europe (Central) to ensure achievement of targeted objectives.
  • The role requires:
  • Expertise in project management, strong communication and organizational skills and knowledge of IT services delivered by AMER IT Production
  • Good technical background: knowledge of technologies, operating principles, security requirements, and regulatory constraints involved in bank infrastructure

This role requires close partnership with IT Production teams and Transversal functions teams among other organizations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish the structure of projects in their scope, aligned with the PMO team processes
  • Define and implement relevant governance
  • Ensure project objectives are communicated to relevant stakeholders, committed, managed and met
  • Coordinate stakeholders across organizations and locations
  • Manage budget for projects in their scope
  • Report progress and escalate major risks or issues, following relevant PMO processes

QualificationsThe strengths and skills that will help you succeed

  • 10+ years experience in project management
  • Expert knowledge of MS office products
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills to develop and deliver informative progress reports, proposals, and presentations
  • Leadership skills – ability to build strong working relationships to execute and successfully complete the programs and projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills – i.e. the ability to anticipate problems and solve them quickly and effectively
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Ability to understand and translate technologies
  • Ability to create, foster and maintain relationships with end users, technical teams and Senior Management
  • Ability to work with difficult people in a respectful and professional manner
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the english is required.
