UNM Information Technologies is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Enterprise Project Manager. Qualified individuals will be expected to lead and manage the development of large technology projects with direct impact on the core enterprise operations and processes of the University and provide mentoring and support to UNM staff using the PMO’s methodology and tools. Project Managers work with Directors and managers to align projects to meet business and IT needs and with managers and staff across the University to drive adoption of best practices that improve our return on technology investment. Strong skills are required in project management, business analysis, system development life cycle, cost and quality management, team building, conflict resolution, problem solving and organizational change management.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience with technology projects in a large and complex organization, and with implementation of technical services that conform to the Information Technology Infrastructure Library. Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology, and an understanding of information requirements of a major research university are required.

- Successful candidate may be subject to a criminal background check prior to starting work.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University’s influenza vaccination requirement.
Bachelor’s degree; at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
- Proven
ability to take initiative and proactively manage project risks,
dependencies, communication, and stakeholder expectations. - Experience managing projects across all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Experience leading and aligning cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.
- Certifications in Project Management (PMP, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Extreme or ITILv4)
Understanding of IT architecture - Degree in Business, Communication, IT, or any related field.
- Experience with project management software and other relevant computer-based programs for managing a project such as Service Now and MS Project
