position OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

A Janitor-Floor Techis responsible forperforming floor maintenance duties and custodial servicesin order toensure that buildings and facilities aremaintainedin a safe and sanitary manner. Will perform a full range of floor care maintenance and custodial duties related to the care, maintenance and cleaning of all assigned buildings and facilities with the government contract to include both routine maintenance as well as non-routine assignments.

DUTIES

  • Basic Janitorial duties including, but not limited to sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaningrestrooms.

  • Floor care maintenance duties for small and large facilities such as carpet cleaning,strippingand waxing, and spray and buffs.

  • Buildingand floors will be maintainedso as tobe in compliance with contract standards and present a clean and sightly appearance.

  • Operating floor care machinery and other basic janitorial equipment

  • Maintain equipment andsupply.

  • Moving furniture before and after cleaning

  • Follow daily,weeklyand monthly cleaning schedules.

  • Independently work as well as part of a team

  • Regular customer interaction during performance of services

  • May berequiredto drive to outlying areas.

  • Other duties as assigned bydirectsupervisor and management team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND experience:
  • Must have valid CaliforniaDriversLicense or obtain one beforestartdate.

  • Successfully pass a background investigation for the base.

  • Must have the ability to obtain security clearance andsubmitall required documents through the government program (E-qip) beforestartdate.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

  • Physical stamina

  • Attention todetail

  • Floor maintenance experiencerequired(preferred two years)

  • Completion ofon the jobtraining and safety program 9

  • Undeterred by exposure to hazardous chemicals, bodilyfluidsand communicable and infectiousdisease.

  • Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
