Job Description
The Janitorial Technician will facilitate and execute the cleaning of facilities, use industrial cleaning chemicals, and operate Janitorial Technician programs and correctly manage cleaning records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws. The candidate will work directly with Production Supervisor to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This
position reports to the Production Supervisor and has no direct reports.
Job Duties:
- Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs, and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines
- Ensures the housekeeping and cleanliness of the offices, conference rooms, restrooms, breakrooms, and lobby.
- Conducts required pre-op and/or post-op inspections to ensure the facilities and equipment are clean prior to start/stop of operations
- Ensures the cleanliness the plant exterior (associate entrances, docks, dumpster areas, and QA/QC lab) and assuring trash in emptied on a timely basis
- Manages the inventory of cleaning chemicals and cleaning tools to ensure adequate supplies are always available
- Completes tasks and duties as outlined in the master sanitation schedule efficiently
- Performs routine PM’s on sanitation equipment to ensure the equipment is functioning properly
- Ensures ALL cleaning equipment (pump sprayers, foaming unit, sinks, etc.) are properly labeled
- Assists and participates in internal and 3rd party audits of SQF and FDA systems to help ensure compliance
- Reports all food safety/sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor
- Routinely collaborates with co-workers to ensure daily compliance in sanitation and help ensure guidelines are followed throughout the plant
- Operate all required equipment as required

Qualification
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
- Good leadership and training skills
- Ability and willingness to promote and support a positive culture and follow Westrock Coffee values.
- Ability to collaborate with all parts of the operation to achieve goals and objectives.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Able to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected.
- Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow specifications and manuals
