Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Reception Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant school for a one-year maternity cover, starting June 2025. This is a full-time position and presents an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Early Years education.The RoleAs a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the EYFS framework
• Creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive
• Supporting the development of children’s literacy, numeracy, and social skills
• Encouraging a love for learning through play-based and structured activities
• Collaborating with a team of dedicated Early Years professionals, teaching assistants, and parents
• Contributing to the school’s positive, inclusive ethos and overall development

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Early Years (Reception)
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
• A passion for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues and parents
