Role Description
Estimating cast-in-place concrete projects using modeling software for the Concrete Special Operations Division.

• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience reading construction drawings and software modeling
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned estimating responsibilities.

• Work independently and alongside the team to efficiently complete tasks with precision, to meet interna and external schedule deliverables, achieving goals and exceeding client expectations
• Promote a positive image of McHugh Concrete to clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Responsibilities
• Create and convert 3D BIM models for estimate using Tekla Structures.
• Set up bids/estimates, and quantities.
• Request and track sub/supplier quotes from sub/suppliers.
• Submit and manage bid RFI’s with suppliers as needed.
• Review scopes of work, specifications, drawings and other bid documents to ensure a complete estimate.
• Maintain up to date Bid Calander and Bid Logs
• For awarded projects, assist with project handoff to project team.
o Load all the bid drawings and related documents into our project management systems.
o Independently submit and track initial project RFIs and submittals until handed off to project team.
o Track drawing revisions when changes are issued to ensure sets are up to date until handed off to project team.
o Compare and review new construction documents for potential cost changes and coordinate/discuss findings with project teams as needed.
education and Experience
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Industrial Engineering. Civil Engineering, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• 1 -2 years of relevant experience is a plus, but not required.
Software Tools
Tekla Structures, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, PipeDrive, OneDrive, Viewpoint Team, SketchUp, REVIT, etc.
Annual Salary Pay Range
$55,000 – $70,000
