Position: Junior Project Manager/EstimatorLocation: LangleyOur client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager/Estimator to join their team in Langley. As a key member of their construction management team, you will be responsible for assisting in project management activities and estimating costs for various projects.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation under the guidance of senior project managers.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Support in the preparation of project estimates, including material take-offs, labor costs, and subcontractor quotes.
  • Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate project estimations and assist in identifying potential project risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with client requirements and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, construction methodologies, and pricing to provide accurate estimates and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in construction project management or estimating role is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is an asset.
