The main objective of the assignment is to facilitate, support, coordinate, monitor and report on the implementation and the community engagement activities of the ROTA project activities through relevant reporting systems and modalities.
The ROTA/ climate change Knowledge Management consultant will undertake the assignment in close collaboration with UNICEF field offices, municipalities, partners, volunteers and other relevant stakeholders. The climate change Knowledge Management Consultant will report daily to the YAD Specialist, and to the Project Human Resource (through WhatsApp group established for this purpose, or other possible reporting tools)
Under UNICEF’s Climate Change Program, the Knowledge Management Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring that evidence, lessons learned, and best practices from climate resilience and adaptation initiatives are systematically captured, analyzed, and shared to inform policy and programming.
The consultant’s scope of work includes developing and maintaining knowledge platforms and repositories, documenting case studies and success stories, and producing knowledge products such as briefs and reports to support advocacy and decision-making. Furthermore, facilitating learning events, webinars, and capacity-building sessions for government counterparts, partners, and communities, while ensuring that climate-related data and insights are accessible and integrated into UNICEF’s planning and reporting frameworks.
Additionally, the consultant coordinates with stakeholders to strengthen knowledge exchange and supports the development of communication strategies that promote climate awareness and child-focused resilience approaches. Key deliverables include: (1) a comprehensive knowledge management strategy for the climate change program; (2) an operational knowledge-sharing platform or repository; (3) at least three documented case studies and success stories; (4) quarterly knowledge products such as briefs, dashboards, and reports; (5) facilitation of at least two learning events or webinars; and (6) capacity-building materials and training sessions for partners on knowledge management practices.
