An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant! Step Teachers are working with a primary school in Barnet to recruit a KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils from Year 1. This role will involve providing targeted support to pupils in both general core subjects and phonics interventions, with a focus on enhancing their learning and progress.If you’re enthusiastic about working with young learners and have a strong understanding of phonics and core subject knowledge, we want to hear from you!KS1 Teaching Assistant – Role:

• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
• Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.

KS1 Teaching Assistant – Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a KS1 Teaching Assistant is essential.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
• Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential.
