position Summary:
The Lakeview Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. This role involves operating a cash register, handling cash and electronic payments, providing friendly customer service, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the checkout area. The cashier will also assist with restocking inventory and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Scheduled hours are typically between 7:00am and 5:00pm, making this position Shuttle/S.P.O.T bus friendly! Must be available to work holidays and weekends.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

• Operate the cash register and handle transactions including processing payments, handling cash, and balancing the register.
• Monitor and maintain efficient line speed and provide excellent guest service at the cafe’s front area.
• Restock food and beverage items, monitor inventory levels, and maintain proper stock rotation.
• Will sell alcoholic beverages.
• Keep the front area clean, organized, and well-stocked to meet health and safety standards.
• Assist other cafe team members with various tasks during slow periods as needed.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Clear and clean tables
• Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications – Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate (training provided)
Technical – Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale (Squirrel is our current system).
Physical Capabilities – Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift to 30 lbs. occasionally.
Additional – Strong attention to detail. Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education/Related experience:
Minimum education required – English reading, writing and communication; plus basic math.
Minimum time in related position – Guest service experience preferred
