Job Title: Landscaping Construction Crew Member
Location: San Ramon, Danville, Lafayette
Job Type: Full-Time – Temp to perm
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Landscaping Crew Member to join their team. In this hands-on role, you’ll assist with a wide range of landscape construction projects including paving, retaining walls, synthetic lawns, irrigation systems, planting, patios, pool decks, and tiling around pools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install paving surfaces such as driveways, walkways, patios, and pool areas using concrete, stone, and pavers.
- Build retaining walls with blocks, stone, or other hardscape materials.
- Lay synthetic (artificial) turf lawns, ensuring proper base prep, grading, and seamless installation.
- Assist with the construction of patios and custom pool decks, including tile and stonework.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems for efficient landscape watering.
- Complete planting of trees, shrubs, flower beds, and other landscape elements according to design plans.
- Perform tiling around pools and other precision hardscaping work.
- Operate power tools, compactors, saws, and light machinery.
- Load and transport materials to and from job sites.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and instructions from supervisors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscape construction or a related trade is preferred—especially in paving, turf, retaining walls, patios, or irrigation.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in all conditions, and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to follow directions, read site plans, and work to high quality standards.
- Familiarity with landscape machinery and tools.
- Knowledge of landscape design and plant materials.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Access to reliable transportation.
