Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Set up and operate laser machinery according to specifications provided.
- Select and import cutting programs into Sigmanest nesting software.
- Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
- Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that arise with laser machinery.
- Inspect and maintain laser machines to ensure they are in good working condition. Perform prescribed maintenance as required.
- Detect and report defective materials.
- Issue materials used into an ERP system.
- Perform other related operations as required or directed. May work at different workstations as production needs require.
Requirements:
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Forklift and overhead crane certification.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, routers, use simple/basic math, and basic hand-held measuring tools. The ability to understand and communicate information is essential. Must be able to work and stay on task with little supervision.
Proven
experience as a Laser Operator required. Experience running Mitsubishi LVP laser a plus. High School Diploma or GED.
