position Title:  Lead Assembly

Summary:  An assembler is responsible for the final assembly of finished products before they are sent off to be packaged. The assembler is also  
Primary Job Skills: 

  • Move Parts to Staging Areas
  • Burnish, broach, engrave, deburr, grind, ream, size, sort, and tumble, usually in order of priority.
  • Assist in O-ring room as needed
  • Wash, rust proof and pack parts per router or verbal instruction
  • Become familiar with shipping schedule to know what goes to finished goods shelf and what ships out the door.  Package accordingly
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving Department with skid wrapping & strapping
  • Inventory packaging supplies and place a requisition for items with Shipping and Receiving and then store supplies upon receipt.
  • Communicate work status.
  • Follow policies and procedures, Vision, Values, Principles, and Philosophies.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance
  • Any specifically assigned task

Knowledge & Skill Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be flexible and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Must be able to follow work instructions.
  • Must be able to pay attention to details, but work in a faced paced environment
  • Shop math (i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals, percentages)

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 50lbs, including bending, twisting, crouching, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for 10 hour work shift.
  • Must be able to work with oils/coolants.
  • Must be able to work in noisy environment.
