Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Consulting Manager (Lead Business Consultant) to join our MLEU practice, with a focus on the Utilities domain (Electricity/Water) and Energy Retail in the US market. This leadership role is ideal for experienced consultants who thrive in client-facing environments and are passionate about delivering strategic, technology-enabled transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements focused on digital transformation in the Utilities and Energy Retail sectors.
• Collaborate with Utility client stakeholders to identify GenAI use cases, prioritize them using established frameworks, and develop functional and solution architectures for the target state.
• Drive business analysis activities including scope definition, requirements tracking, process flow analysis, and coordination with internal and external teams.
• Develop GenAI business cases and roadmaps, and detail out use cases aligned to client goals.
• Provide process expertise across the Opportunity-to-Cash lifecycle, including Opportunity & Quoting, Contracting & Onboarding, Billing & Invoicing, Renewals & Support.
• Conduct business process mapping and identify operational improvement opportunities.
• Develop functional use cases, user stories, and support testing/UAT activities.
• Manage scope, change requests, and cross-functional collaboration across time zones.
• Build long-term relationships with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Contribute to internal initiatives including thought leadership, asset development, and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

• 10-15 years of consulting experience in the Utilities domain (Electric or Water), with direct experience in Energy Retail in the US.
• Strong understanding of Opportunity-to-Cash processes and their application in energy retail operations.
• Proven experience in business analysis, process modelling, and GenAI technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to define and detail GenAI use cases, develop business cases, and create strategic roadmaps.
• Experience working with Utility clients to identify and prioritize transformation opportunities.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with data-driven decision-making and strategy development.
• Ability to work in hybrid environments (remote/in-office).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree; certifications preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel as required by client engagements.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a position requires [X]% travel and 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in city, state.
