Lead EMR Technician, Health Information Management, Days

Responsibilities

The Lead EMR Technician will be a subject matter expert in the area of Document Imaging (DI) while providing support, education and guidance to their assigned teams. The role will provide insight into the knowledge, skills and abilities required to be a successful Document Imaging employee through their daily interactions with employees and leaders. The EMR Lead troubleshoots and supports all functions relating to the document imaging system. Responsibilities include working the Interface Error Queue, Misfile Queue, Respond and Resolve Help Desk Tickets, telephone calls, emails and personnel request for technical support for electronic medical records applications. EMR Lead will compile data for audits, run daily reports and identify area of high risk/concern and provide direction on unidentifiable patient records. The role will train & support Ambulatory Practice and Scanning / Indexing users using established workflow procedures to ensure integrity of medical record. Lead Technician can also perform all duties of an EMR Associate and EMR Tech.

Qualifications

Required:

• Three years health information management

Desired:

• Associate Degree
• Registered Health Information Technician
