As Lead Quality Software Engineer, that is what you will be doing, too.The Regulatory Technology Development Team is among the highest performing Agile teams at CSC and is responsible for leading CSC’s regulatory compliance technology implementations – you would be part of a globally-distributed Scrum team (Wilmington, Europe and India) and collaborate daily to deliver value to CSC’s customers. Application, code quality and test automation are always paramount – driven by the team’s strong dedication to technical quality and agile delivery. You would be responsible for contributing to that goal – every day, every sprint and every release – by leading other QA team members and applying your Software Automation skills to the features being created.As Lead Quality Software Engineer for the Regulatory Technology Team, you will be responsible for defining Quality strategy and standards, mentoring junior and senior team members, and executing assurance activities including designing, implementing, executing and maintaining test plans, test cases and test automation tools/scripts to ensure software is delivered with high quality. In this role, you will create and leverage automated test exhibits as the norm, manual where required.Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Develop strategic quality plan and roadmap to assess – and mature – established quality assurance practices, tools, and protocols
  • Work within an ecosystem of vendor solutions and internal system integrations, ensuring quality throughout
  • Serve as Lead for QA engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and reviewing work
  • Interface with Vendors and development teams to understand system architectures and align testing strategies
  • Execute functional and regression tests using a mix of manual and automated methods
  • Participate in agile planning ceremonies and contribute to design and estimation activities
  • Create and execute test plans, use cases, and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications. Review and feedback test cases and approaches by quality team members
  • Assist with performance and load testing against UI and APIs
  • Perform security testing to uncover vulnerabilities and flaws in design or coding
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance, and corresponding documentation

What technical skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

  • 6+ years of software quality assurance or test experience
  • Solid knowledge of STLC methodologies and tools
  • Solid knowledge of Scrum/Agile software development process
  • Solid understanding of programming concepts
  • Solid experience testing APIs using Postman and/or Newman
  • Experience with Chromium, Selenium or similar test automation framework, tool development and scripting
  • Experience with security testing using tools such as Burp Suite and Fortify as well as manual testing
  • Experience writing SQL queries is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to consistently deliver on time, a quick-thinker, a quick-learner, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to develop and mentor QA talent on team, raising team members’ effectiveness and productivity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field experience
