Job Overview:
Under the general direction of the Records & Information Management Manager, the position oversees records and information management personnel, services, and support activities following Board policy, state, and federal law. Implements and administers programs that manage records and information life cycles. Determines classifications of documents and ensures information is made available in appropriate systems for the required retention.
What you will be doing:
- Provides leadership and training to RIM personnel to achieve Team, Department, and DFW Airport goals. Evaluates personnel in conformance with established performance management procedures.
- Develops, implements, and administers processes and systems to maintain records digitally and physically in accordance with state and federal law and Airport policies and procedures.
- Working closely with database and system administrators – supports key components of established enterprise content management systems. Provides technical assistance to Airport departments as needed.
- Manages the activities and personnel to receive, assemble, inventory and classify documents.
- Manages projects to convert hardcopy documents to digital image formats, using a variety of scanning and conversion equipment and software – meeting quality standards.
- Analyzes and interprets content and attributes, ensuring required metadata is entered and uploaded to respective systems.
- Maintains and administers changes to content stored within designated systems, to ensure integrity, authenticity, proper retention, and disposition.
- Works with both internal and external personnel to provide required design and engineering record documents for current facilities maintenance and future construction projects.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information management, computer science or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in records and information management field.
- One (1) year of lead or supervisory experience.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
- Possession of a valid class C driver’s license.
