As a Lead Solutions Engineer, you will:

Align solutions to the customer’s goals, needs and objectives
• Provide consultation and training to customers and team members
• Interpret specifications and build solutions to those specifications
• Develop strategies and hardware/software solutions in a logical, creative, and structured manner that will help customers solve complex problems
• Collaborate with customers, cross-functional teams, and subject matter experts to identify and frame compelling solutions
• Interact with customers to execute the technical aspects of the strategy
• Multi-task and work efficiently in a team setting on critical projects to successful completion
• Exercise judgement in developing and implementing methods and techniques to obtain desired results following industry best practices
• Deliver right-sized technology solutions/services within the allocated budget
• Provide expert technical support
• Develop technical documentation
• Stay current on latest technologies and methods
• Regularly interact and build relationships with senior management, customers, and business partners
• Support development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentations
• Mentor solutions engineers and solutions analysts by developing, coaching and growing team members through continuous learning
• Supervise staff, as assigned
• Provide performance feedback to solutions engineering staff and/or supervisors of staff
• Operate independently
• Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
• Complete other duties as required/assigned

education, Skills and/or experiences required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field is required. experience may be substituted for degree.
• Minimum seven years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or similar role
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a consulting role
• Technical skills must include the following:
• Minimum 6 years of cloud computing on the Microsoft Azure platform
• Technical proficiency with Azure architectures including,
• Serverless compute (Storage/CosmosDB/Functions/Containers/RDBMS/Networking)
• Virtual Machine configuration and networking
• Serverless configuration and RABC policy and practices for security hardening
• Infrastructure as a service deployments, specifically using Bicep
• Languages: PowerShell, Python, T-SQL, SQL
• Relational database modeling
• Azure DataFactory and data gateway architectures
• Microservices architecture with best of breed patterns and practices
• Azure Devops pipeline construction and best practices using yaml
• Demonstrated Power Platform solutions including Canvas and Semantic Model
• AI modeling and integration leveraging RoboFlow or similar Sass platforms
• Exposure to AI Foundry and CoPilot Studio
• Demonstrated use and construction of appropriate Docker technology including,
• Hardened Dockerfile/Docker Compose creation and maintenance.
• Docker deployment and security practices
• DevContainers construction and usage

Education, Skills and/or experiences preferred:

• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• GIS development and integrations
• ESRI platform, ArcPy, Enterprise Python
• Python visualizations
• Machine learning and MLOps integrations
• Dapr framework to construct Microservices
